The Diversity of the Homeless Population
After doing a service trip that focused on the rights of Homeless women in the Washington D.C area, I felt inspired to work with the homeless population for my Field Experience/internship this semester.

Throughout the experience, I worked people with a various range of abuse issues and a wide variety of ages and cultural backgrounds. Not only have I learned how to approach with clients mental disabilities, I learned how to interact with people from different cultures and religions as well.

A great example of this would be my experience working with a Muslim homeless client. I learned that what is considered homeless differs from culture as well. The methods that they wanted use to improve their situation were different from those with an american cultural background.
